A couple of years
ago I wanted a project vehicle to buy and build up. I didn't
know then what I was getting myself into. I figured a lift,
some tires and off road lights and I would be ready to wheel
it. Well I did that. Then after seeing a few Super Broncos
like Bronczilla and Chris Chu's rides at fullsizebronco.com
I decided it was time to take The Beater and take it up a
notch.
I started by filling
my garage with lots of shiny new expensive tools like a Mig
welder, tube bender and half of Harbor Freight Tools
inventory. As I was getting farmilliar with my new
tools(toys) I started looking for parts to build it up.
I started
by purchasing a ford 8.8" rear axle with 4.88 gears and
an ARB air locking differential. I also bought a Dana 44
front axle with 4.88 gears and a true track limited slip.
The rear axle was complete but the front was missing the
knuckles out and didn't include any of the mounting options.
I was on my own for that.

This writeup has gotten so big I have
had to split it up into multiple pages.
